Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from support. Together, we’ll discuss a plan that feels comfortable and suitable for your needs.

No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment. However, if you would like to access a Medicare rebate, you will need a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP.

Most therapy sessions run for 50–60 minutes.

Yes. Your privacy and confidentiality are very important. Information shared during therapy is kept confidential except in situations where there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information, such as concerns about safety. You may view our Privacy statement here.

Yes, telehealth appointments are available for clients who prefer online sessions or are unable to attend in person.

This depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people benefit from short-term support, while others prefer ongoing therapy. We will regularly review your progress together.
Trauma Processing

Trauma-informed therapy recognises how past experiences can affect emotions, relationships, thoughts, and the body. The approach focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment while helping you process difficult experiences at your own pace.

Not necessarily. Therapy moves at your pace. The focus is on helping you feel safe and supported while working through difficult experiences.

Before processing trauma, it’s important to develop coping tools and emotional regulation skills so you feel more supported and grounded throughout the processing of the trauma.

Yes. Many clients find it helpful to practice simple strategies, exercises, or coping tools between sessions to support ongoing progress.

That’s completely okay. Therapy is a collaborative and supportive process, and there is no “right” way to do it. We will guide you through each step.
Wellness at Work

Yes. Workplace stress, burnout, bullying, conflict, injury, and ongoing pressure can significantly affect mental health and wellbeing.

Yes. We support WorkCover, Comcare, and other insurer-funded psychological services.

Please bring your claim number and any relevant details relating to your approved claim.

A Fitness for Work assessment evaluates your psychological capacity to safely return to work or continue working in your role. Reports are completed with your involvement throughout the process.

Yes. We can liaise directly with your EAP provider regarding appointments and invoicing.
NDIS

Yes. We provide counselling support and psychological assessments for NDIS participants.

Yes. We accept both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

For plan-managed participants, we can liaise directly with your plan manager regarding invoices. Self-managed participants can pay directly and claim through their plan.

A psychological functional assessment looks at how mental health and psychological functioning may impact daily living, independence, relationships, and participation.
Fees & Appointments

The standard consultation fee is $200 per session.

Yes. Eligible clients with a Mental Health Care Plan and GP referral can claim a Medicare rebate.

Payment is made at the time of your session via Square tap with your debit visa or mastercard card (physical or digital via your phone).

Cancellations within 24 hours incur 50% of the session fee
Missed appointments (no shows) incur the full session fee

Reduced fees may be considered for financial hardship, pensioners, and full-time university students.

Yes, eligible DVA clients are bulk billed.
Booking
